Cameron Hospital COVID Update

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
COVID-19 VISITOR POLICY

-- Updates December 2, 2022 --

Cameron Regional Medical Center and most health care facilities remain vigilant in their efforts to protect patients, visitors, employees, and the general public. We are still requiring the use of masks and social distancing, and ask for your patience in this regard as we continue to safeguard our friends, families, and communities.

Given the easing of COVID-19 case numbers, the Medical Center has updated its VISITOR POLICY effective this date:

The only remaining limitations on visitors are the “normal” pre-Covid restrictions:

  • ICU - Only two visitors will be allowed at one time, and children under the
  • age of 12 will not be permitted.
  • E.R. - Two visitors per patient. In critical cases, the E.R. physician will dictate.
  • Surgery - Two visitors per patient.

All persons entering the facility must go through a screening at the front entrance and are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth at all times. Visitors are not allowed for patients with confirmed or suspected COVID-19, except in end-of-life circumstances.

The only remaining limitations on visitors are the “normal” pre-Covid restrictions:

  • Med-Surg and Obstetrics - 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • ICU - No visitors between 6:00 & 7:00 a.m. and p.m.
  • BHU (GeroPsychiatric Unit) - By appointment
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation - Monday thru Friday 3:00 - 7:00 p.m.

    - Saturday 1:00 - 7:00 p.m.

    - Sunday 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

We ask that you use your best judgment when visiting. If you are ill, or have been ill in the last 48 hours, please refrain from visiting CRMC patients. If you are visiting a COVID or otherwise infectious patient, you will be required to follow isolation precautions and will be assisted by CRMC staff in putting on the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Due to county COVID transmission rates, all persons entering the facility must still go through screening at the front entrance and are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth at all times.
