Comfort Care Hospice
Founded in 1993, Comfort Care Hospice, a division of Cameron Regional Medical Center, provides care and support for individuals in the final stages of an incurable illness. A coordinated system of multidisciplinary services is provided to patient and family, allowing the patient to live the balance of his/her life as fully as possible and with dignity. Services include:
- MEDICAL CARE – Care and treatment are directed by the patient's physician. The Hospice Medical Director is also available for consultation and direct care.
- NURSING – Specialty-trained nurses provide skilled nursing care.
- SOCIAL SERVICE – A Social Worker provides counseling and coordinates resources.
- HOME HEALTH AIDES – Aides provide personal care and assistance with housekeeping.
- 24-HOUR AVAILABLITY – An on-call nurse is available 24 hours per day.
- RESPITE CARE - Trained volunteers are available to provide respite care.
- INPATIENT CARE – Comfort Care Hospice continues to provide service if patient is hospitalized or enters a skilled care facility.
- SPIRITUAL SUPPORT – A member of the clergy provides spiritual support, if so desired.
- BEREAVEMENT SERVICES – Bereavement services are provided to the family for 12 months following the death of a patient.
- OTHER SERVICES – Therapies, special equipment, supplies and medications needed for the terminal illness are available.
- SERVICE AREA – Caldwell, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Andrew, Buchanan, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Livingston, and Ray Counties
- PAYMENT SOURCES – Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, and Private Pay
